What’s going on here?

June has passed and still no news about the new transport? What’s going on here?
In fact we decided to make some changes: We’ve learned from our last convoy that organization and planning are the keys for a successful transport – well, as are your big support, loads of good luck for a more or less smooth flow and considerate traffic participants on the long way to Syria.
In the moment we have enough money for one car and the corresponding travel costs and we can fill it with medical equipment – but unfortunately not more. We got many things on the way the last weeks, but it looks like that it’s better to focus our forces on the a big convoy in Autumn. This one, on the other hand, will pack a punch: We will not only start from Berlin, also Frankfurt/Main is in discussion while Austria seems to be home and dry as another starting point.
What does this mean in fact now?
We are continuously trying to get hold of medical donations, most of all the ones used in emergency medical treatment, including:
anaesthetic machine
respirator
ECG monitoring
defibrillator
electrocardiogram
aspirator
ultrasound heart scan
portable x-ray
operating tables and lights
stretchers
patient beds
Furthermore we have positive answers for protheses and equipment for dentistry.
And now? What can I do?
Besides donations as such we are also very happy about advices and more ideas how and where we can find medical donations. Furthermore we are delighted about any kind of financial support – with betterplace.org we can offer you a safe and transparent way to send us your help. In case you are living in Berlin you should – no, you have to come to one of our Küfas, the so called Küche für alle: every second Wednesday every month we cook vegan Arabic food in B-Lage, Mareschstraße 1, 12055 Berlin Neukölln. Delicious meals for small money! We always start at 8pm, meet us there the next time on Wednesday July 9th, or aftrewards August 13th. Come around, get to know us and share your thoughts and ideas with us!
